Shipping Details

Orders placed before 2:00PM EST (excluding public holidays and weekends) will despatch the day you order. Order placed on weekends and public holidays will be despatched the next business day.

Shipping within Australia:

We ship your orders using the Australia Post eParcel service and charge the following for each service: 

• Domestic Letter with Tracking: from $4.95 suitable for smaller items.
• Standard eParcel: from $9.95
• Express eParcel:  from $9.95
• Express eParcel with Transit Cover: From $14.95

Domestic DL Letter with tracking has Scan on pickup and delivery only. 

All eParcel deliveries require a signature at time of delivery.

• If you are not available at the time of delivery by Australia Post, from October 5 2023, Australia Post will send Digital Notifications to advise of an attempted delivery, instead of leaving a paper card. These notifications will let you know that Australia Post tried to deliver and the reason why it couldn't be completed, and when your parcel is ready for collection at the post office or a nearby collection point. These will be sent via email, SMS or through the AusPost app. If you use the app, you'll also get a one-off QR code specific to that parcel. 

• Simply show the notification, the QR code (for app users) and suitable ID at the Post Office to collect your parcel. Your parcel will still be kept at the Post Office for 10 business days for you to collect, and we'll send you a reminder on day 5 if your parcel hasn't been collected.

If we have your parcel shipped by a courier, a signature is required and if you are not available to take delivery, a re-delivery fee may be charged.

N.B. If you have concerns with Australia Posts ability to deliver your order safely, only the Express eParcel with transit cover covers you for lost or damaged orders.

 

Australia Post Delivery Times (approximate)

The Order process:

1. Order placed.
2. A confirmation email is sent to the email address as provided by the customer.
3. Payment is confirmed by the Cheap Chips Team.
4. Your order is picked and an email is sent to confirm the address and goods ordered are correct. Reply ASAP if there is an error that needs amending.
5. The order is packed and order status amended to "Pending Dispatch". 
6. Approximately 5pm EST, an email is sent to the email address provided with tracking details.
7. Your order status is amended to "Dispatched" after Australia Post and couriers have collected the orders.

What if we are not home to receive goods?

The Australia Post courier will leave a calling card or will send a text message or email advising you will have approximately 10 days to collect your parcel from the Australia Post branch specified. If the parcel is returned to Cheap Chips, a redelivery fee of $21.95 will need to be paid prior to shipping to recover the costs of resending the order. If the goods are not required to be reshipped and a refund is requested, the credit will be for original invoice value, less the $11.90 fee charged by Australia Post for returning the uncollected parcel.

Late delivery:

Australia Post will not investigate overdue deliveries until 3 days after the due date.

Collection of orders:

Orders are available for collection in the Brisbane 4152 area. You will need to be located in S.E.Qld to have the "Pick Up" option available. When you place the order for pick up, you'll receive an order confirmation. When the order has been processed and packed, you will be sent an email advising that your order is ready and where you can collect it from.

Overseas Shipping:

We only ship to Australian addresses and DO NOT ship overseas. Our products are largely covered by Australian warranties only, and only cover purchases from Australian addresses

Order Status:

You can view the status of your order by signing in to your account. The following is a brief description on order status.

1. New: A new order that requires payment.
2. Pick: Order has been paid and awaiting payment confirmation.
3. Pack: Order has been confirmed and packed.
4. Pending Dispatch: Order is awaiting collection by courier.
5. Dispatched: Order has been collected by courier and is on the way to you.
6. Hold: Order is placed on hold awaiting more information from purchaser.
